Yee Haw!!!!!! Birthday Party on the Farm

The girls' birthday party was this past Saturday at Sunny Farms. We had the best time! There were Horse and Pony Rides and they got to feed animals, Riley was not sure about the pony and was a little skeptical of the gnimorous bunny as well! Ella Kate was a Cowgirl Natural! She loved it all! They also went on a hay ride and then on a scavanger hunt through the woods. It was very cool! The girls' favorite part was driving the tractor back to the barn! The kids were all chanting their names- "ELLA KATE, ELLA KATE!!!!" and then the same for Riley's turn-"RILEY, RILEY"!!!!! It was hilarious!!! Then it was time for cake and ice cream and a little more time to play on all of the fun stuff like the tire swing, the water well, the old rocking horse, and the tee pee. They even got to brush some of the horses! It was such a fun day and we loved sharing it with all of our family and friends!!! YEE HAW!!!!!!!!!!!

Ella Kate Turns 5!!!!!

I cannot believe my baby is 5 years old!!!! She woke up this morning with a huge smile and says "Mommy, look at me, I think I look taller. Don't I look like I grew some overnight!" Precious girl made me smile, she was so excited about turning 5! Riley, Daddy and I made her a special birthday breakfast and sang Happy Birthday to her! She was beaming!!!

I cannot believe that 5 years ago today, on Ash Wednesday, I was at 6p Mass and 5 minutes after leaving, my water breaks and here comes Ella Kate 2 and 1/2 weeks early! Her poor Daddy was in Home Depot trying to get paint to finish our projects when I called him and said "It's Time!" The girl had a plan of her own and was ready to make her Grand Appearance, always wanting to be in the spot light!! 5 Years later and some things never Change! Happy Birthday My Darling Diva!!!!

Mardi Gras Mambo-Falgoust Style

We braved the wet and stormy weather to catch the Spanishtown parade, we donned rain jackets and boots and said "Let's Do This!!!" The girls caught a ton of stuff and it was fun hanging with some of our friends. Poor things were sopping wet when it was time to leave, but it was all worth it seeing those smiling faces!

The Pre K classes of St Aloysius had their very own Mardi Gras parade. Ella Kate and Addison rode together and they had older students pulling all of the wagons through the Gym. Riley came with us to watch, Ella Kate was so excited about it! But once they rolled into the gym she thought it was way too loud and covered her ears the entire time! It was pretty crazy and Boy was it LOUD!

Krewe of Tots rolled again this year! Luca and Riley rode together and were all smiles pre-parade but once we got into the thick crowds of screaming kids, they were not smiling anymore. Riles looked up at me with a quivering bottom lip and big ole tears rolling down her cheeks. I had to carry her the rest of the way which in turn made Luca want to be carried. So here we are carrying two toddlers and a wagon full of beads and trinkets! Thank Goodness Kevin's Mom was there to take over wagon duty, thanks to her we were able to pull it all off and get rid of all of our throws! We found Ella Kate along the route and Riley walked over to her and gave her a Mardi Gras crown and mask, EK loved it! It was fun seeing all of the kids but exhausting for us Mamas'!!!!
