We had our appt with Maternal Fetal Medicine last week and got a better look at little Riley! She was moving all over the place but was being cooperative this time and giving them everything they needed to see. The doctor was able to detect a small cleft lip, we had prepared ourselves for this after they told us they thought they saw one at my 18 week ultrasound, so we were ready for the news. The good news is it seems to be a very minor one-it is called an isolated unilateral cleft lip and is on the right side. It does not appear to go through to the nose, so that is even better news. Our doctor was very encouraging and Scott and I feel really good about everything.
We have an appt with Children's Hospital and their cleft team on Oct.20. They have one of the largest cleft teams in the country and are suppose to be amazing. We will meet with their entire team and be able to ask any questions that we might have. Hopefully, we will know more after this appt about what to expect and when her surgery might take place. We will keep you all updated and please keep our little girl in your prayers. Here are some of the 4D pics they were able to take of our little lady-
And here is a pic of our little Tiger, EK! She loves watching football now and will shout "Go Tigers" anytime she sees football on TV, no matter who is playing!
